Inspired appellate briefs and arguments

After two federal clerkships and over twenty years litigating high-stakes technology cases at large law firms, Elizabeth H. Rader founded Calliope Legal to focus on appellate work. As a small practice, Calliope Legal provides clients outstanding, personalized service while offering flexible, reasonable rates and alternative billing arrangements.

At Calliope Legal, you will know exactly who is working on your case and you will find us as responsive as if you were our only client. Additionally, the fees and costs for an appellate matter are significantly more predictable than those for a case in the trial court. We can agree on a reasonable budget for your case and stick to it—no unpleasant surprises.

cal·li·ope | kə-ˈlī-ə-(ˌ)pē

In Greek mythology, Calliope was the foremost of the nine muses, goddesses who inspired musicians and writers to excel in the arts and sciences. Calliope was said to inspire eloquence, rhetoric, and epic poetry. The poet Homer invoked Calliope to inspire him when writing the Illiad and the Odyssey. She was also the wisest, and most assertive, of all the muses. We chose her name because we are inspired to craft legal briefs and arguments that are interesting, wise, and persuasive.
